Cotton Candy Making

Believe it - there is chemistry behind cotton candy: namely, how heat is transferred causing sugar to change from a solid to a liquid state and back again. We will explain these phenomena and of course make sure that there is enough of the yummy stuff to go around.

Building the Perfect Birthday Party in Six Steps!
Step 1- Choose your Party Package
Our Standard Party includes an interactive show with an exciting line-up of awesome chemical reactions, dynamic illusions, fun kitchen chemistry, and special effects, followed by SLIME making.
Crank up the fun with upgrades, goody bags, extras and more!
Step 2 - Choose an exciting optional TAKE-HOME EXPERIMENT
Slime is included, an optional upgrade to silly putty or superballs is $3.00 per child.
Silly Putty - You can tug it, roll it, mash it, and streeeeeetch it. Like all experiments, this once is mess-free and safe.
Superballs - We don't just bounce them: we actually make them.
Step 3 - Choose your awesome UPGRADES, according to your chosen package.

FAQ
When do I pay? What is your cancellation policy?
A $200 non-refundable deposit to book your party. The remaining payment is due on the day of the party. Parties rescheduled with less than 2 weeks' notice will forfeit their deposit. Parties cancelled with less than two weeks' notice will be charged the full amount.
+What do I need to supply if I host a party at my house/location?
The Mad Scientist will need a table for their equipment. We will provide a tablecloth. We will also need access to water and electricity; we do bring water pitchers and extension cords. We will need enough space for kids to sit on the floor in front of the table. If you do not have a table, we can bring one for an additional $10 fee.
+How far in advance do I need to book my party?
Our party schedule fills up quickly. We suggest you book well in advance to get the date and time you want. Generally, at least 4 weeks in advance is recommended. Occasionally we can accommodate a last-minute party request, give our office a call directly to inquire about availability 262-330-5029.
+Is this going to make a big ol' mess or what?
NOPE! The Mad Scientist cleans up after themselves when they are done! Our Slime, Putty, and Superball making are mess-free! You won’t even know we’ve been there – except the kids will be even happier than they were before the show!
+Is it okay to have other activities going on while the Mad Scientist is performing?
The Mad Scientist will begin at the designated start time and continue until our portion of the entertainment is finished. We will not be able to stop for other activities (i.e. food or cake). For safety reasons, we ask that no food be served during the Mad Science performance.
+Can I bring my own food to parties hosted in your lab?
Yes! We do not supply food or drink, so please feel free to what you’d like to serve. Please note that we have limited facilities and cannot accommodate banquet type dining. No crockpots, toasters, or similar appliances permitted. Snack foods, cake/cupcakes, and pizza are the best options. There are many local pizza restaurants that will deliver.
+What's included in the Party Room Rental Fee for parties at your lab?
Fee includes 2 hrs use of a private party room, 20 people absolute max. Note--we are not a banquet facility, room is best suited for kids and their friends. Fee includes STEM themed paper goods, clean up & set up. Room has small refrigerator & freezer to keep items cold. Your guests will also have access to our Build It lab & STEM room to explore.
+What days do you perform parties? How far do you travel?
Most parties are performed on the weekends, but we are flexible. We are happy to travel, mileage charges will apply. Call our office for specifics.
